KDV Sport (formerly Carrara Gardens Day and Night Course)

Located across the Nerang Broadbeach Road from Metricon Stadium you can play golf here from 5.30am to 9pm at night. Over $1 million dollars has been spent on a major upgrade to the course alone, not to mention the other $20 million spent on the major construction of the driving range, gym, swimming pool, restaurant and extensive tennis complex to bring it up to international sports complex standards.

Three of the old par 4’s from the Carrara Gardens course have been kept but are out of range of the floodlights for the night golf.

The new part of the layout is beautifully landscaped where holes range from as short as 45 metres to 120 metres in length. It is flat for walking though the greens have slopes on some including the St Andrews-like double green of the 2nd and the 9th if you are playing the par 4’s as well, or the 8th if playing the night layout.

Elite players who use the coaching facilities at the range will also play here to sharpen their distance control . Social players are welcome at any time and are expected to obey the typical rules of most golf clubs…4 players per group maximum, set of clubs each, smart casual dress appearance, no thongs etc. Clubs and push buggies can be hired at the range shop.

The dam comes into play on a few of the holes, and creates a good challenge on the 3rd where it edges the right of the green with the out of bounds fence near the left side of the green.

The night lighting is powerful making for a pleasant evening of fun with your mates

The greens are good to putt on and the surrounds are manicured to offer short grass or areas of more challenging rough.
